Explore the Brisbane regions stunning natural attractions
Updated: 21 December 2021
Brisbane is well known for its urban adventure experiences, thriving hospitality scene and distinctive precincts, but if you wander just 90 mins from the CBD you’ll discover an abundance of natural attractions offering exceptional corporate and team-building experiences, right in Brisbane’s backyard.
Get on island time
Moreton Island

Pure white sand meets crystal clear water on Moreton Island, the home of Tangalooma Island Resort.
A 75-minute ferry ride from Brisbane, the island resort provides spectacular experiences in an accessible and easy environment.
There are function and conference facilities, as well as unique team-building activities. Both full-day and half-day packages are available and can include venue hire, meals, selected AV equipment upon request and a dedicated staff member for all liaison. Overnight events are also available.
Moreton Bay is one of the region’s most spectacular natural assets. Explore its diversity – natural wonders, pristine islands and First Nations cultures – on River to Bay’s adventure cruises.
Vessels with capacity for between 10 and 38 people can transport guests across the bay, from Brisbane to snorkelling at Tangalooma’s famed wrecks, across to laidback North Stradbroke Island, and over to former penal colony St Helena Island.
On the way, visitors may spot turtles, dolphins or even a dugong. Brisbane River tours are also available.
Sip back and relax
Redlands Coast

Winery, events venue and corporate retreat Sirromet has been a fixture of Brisbane’s events scene since 2000. An award-winning operation just 30 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, it has recently expanded with a luxury glamping experience.
Sanctuary by Sirromet has 18 newly built glamping retreats nestled into paperbark bushland. With configurations available for groups, couples and singles, the accommodation provides a calm and peaceful setting for a working event.
Environmental sustainability is a key feature of the venue. Responsible water use – both on the vineyard and in operations – waste recycling, energy conservation and computerised refrigeration initiatives all contribute to its strong environmental commitments.
Event spaces are available at the Barrel Hall (capacity 120) and Tuscan Terrace (capacity 200 cockatil or 120 banquet), or restaurant Lurleen’s (capacity 300 ) providing the best in seasonal produce and dining.
Scenic Rim

Another new option in the Scenic Rim is the Wander At The Overflow 1895.
An off-grid eco-retreat, the site offers five premium accommodation pods with sweeping views over the mountains and valleys of the historic grazing property turned vineyard.
Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal scenes of Lake Wyaralong and surrounding native bushland.
The complex of five WanderPods can be secured for up to 14 guests, allowing guests a private setting to get away from it all. Activities include guided walks, tastings at the cellar door, hot air ballooning and yoga.
Wander At The Overflow 1895 opened on December 1 2021.
