The Brisbane Economic Development Agency marketing team is responsible for building Brisbane’s destination profile through campaigns, activations and strategic partnerships.
Callum Wood - Head of Marketing
Callum is a senior destination marketing leader, heading up the marketing team at BEDA. Callum is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the marketing team, developing and implementing strategies and business plans which deliver on organisational objectives and drive economic impact for the city and region. Callum is responsible for leading the Brisbane destination brand strategy and translating this into measurable economic impact, from local campaigns through to international activity and partnerships. Prior to working for BEDA, Callum held senior marketing positions in Melbourne, and also holds qualifications across Law, Business Administration, and International Relations.
Bec Evans - Marketing Manager (TBME)
Bec Evans joined the Tourism, Business and Major Events team in 2019. Bec leads the marketing strategy to drive demand for Brisbane as a sought-after destination to visit, meet and do business. Having led domestic and international destination marketing campaigns across the broader visitor economy, Bec brings a diverse range of experience from brand marketing and strategic partnerships through to digital and content marketing.
Kim Robles - Marketing Manager (CC)
Kim Robles joined the City Centre team in 2022 and is the Marketing Manager for the City Centre. Kim is responsible for the marketing strategy to drive visitation and spend to the City Centre through marketing campaigns and initiatives that position the precinct as a destination to shop, dine, stay, and discover, while supporting key City Centre retail and hospitality stakeholders. Prior to BEDA, Kim worked in the property and retail industry and brings a diverse range of experience, from brand marketing through to event management and stakeholder management.
Ivett Guerra - Marketing Manager (BGTT)
Ivett is responsible for strategic marketing initiatives to support business growth and to attract national and international business investment and talent into Greater Brisbane. She has proven experience in delivering creative marketing and communications plans across national and international markets, most recently delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns for Trade and Investment Queensland in Latin America and China. Ivett’s formal qualifications include a Master of Applied Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Melbourne.
Grace Callaghan - Marketing Projects Executive
Grace Callaghan joined the Brisbane Economic Development team in 2021. Grace supports the implementation of marketing strategy across the organisation. Grace brings a diverse range of marketing experience having previously specialised in digital and content marketing roles.
Shannon Boyde - Marketing Executive (TBME)
Shannon joined the Tourism, Business & Major Events team as a Marketing Executive in 2022. Shannon implements the marketing strategy to drive demand for Brisbane through marketing activities, collateral, promotions and deliverables across the website, social, email and digital marketing platforms to support the broader business needs. Shannon brings extensive communication, marketing, public relations and event management expertise to the team.
Madeleine O'Reilly - Marketing Executive (CC)
Madeleine O’Reilly joined the City Centre team in 2020 and is the Marketing Executive for the City Centre. Madeleine is responsible for the execution of the marketing strategy to deliver initiatives and programs that enhance the City Centre as a precinct to shop, dine, stay and discover, while supporting key stakeholders.
Brigid Speechly - Marketing Executive (BGTT)
Brigid is the Marketing Executive for the Brisbane Business Hub and Growth, Talent and Trade department, assisting with the strategy, execution, budget and reporting across digital, content and campaign marketing.
