Game. Set. Match. Brisbane hosts Davis Cup quarterfinal

Queensland Tennis

The Queensland Tennis Centre will host the 47th meeting between the two most successful nations in Davis Cup history, Australia and the United States, having staged another hugely successful edition of the Brisbane International in January which attracted almost 100,000 spectators.

Brisbane Marketing was given with the opportunity to bid for the Davis Cup in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland. The successful bid saw off stiff competition from across Australia.

The winning result means Brisbane’s Queensland Tennis Centre will host the Australia v USA quarter-final Davis Cup World Group tie from 7-9 April.

Pat Rafter

It will be the third time the Queensland Tennis Centre has hosted a Davis Cup tie – Pat Rafter Arena was converted to a clay court to stage a Group 1 Asia/Oceania semi-final against Japan in May 2010, before hosting the same level of tie against Korea on hardcourt in April 2012.

Multi-session tickets to the Davis Cup tie are on sale now and can be bought at or by calling 132 849.
