Fun Over Fifty wins big
Brisbane’s over-50s tourism market continues to thrive, with Brisbane-based operator Fun Over Fifty taking out Gold for Tour and Transport Operators and Bronze for Ecotourism at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin.
The home-grown family business which operates cruise, air, coach, and rail tours, qualified to compete for the national award after receiving Gold in the Tour and Transport Operators category and The Steve Irwin Award for Ecotourism at the Queensland Tourism Awards.
Fun Over Fifty CEO Toni Brennan said she was honoured and excited for the business to be recognised.
“It’s humbling to compete alongside the country’s top tourism businesses,” Ms Brennan said.
“The award is such an honour and a testament to the hard work of my amazing team.”
She said a huge part of the business was its personalised service.
“We connect with our guests, our industry partners and all suppliers that contribute to make Fun Over Fifty the successful tour operator it is. We have great respect for small business, local establishments, and traditional owners,” Ms Brennan said.
“Our guests can not only rest assured knowing that we’ve hand-picked the best tourism products on offer, but that we’ve matched them with like-minded travellers for an unforgettable experience.
“Preserving our environment is also very important to Fun Over Fifty and so we’re very proud to be leading the way to a more sustainable tourism industry.
“We firmly believe Australia’s amazing tourism destinations deserve to be seen by generations to come.”
