Storyology comes to Brisbane
The Walkley Foundation’s news and storytelling festival Storyology is coming to Brisbane this August. Head to Brisbane Powerhouse this August and dive into discussions about the stories that have shaken and shaped our country.
Coordinated by the Walkley Foundation and coming to Brisbane for the first time, Storyology is your chance to take part in the conversations shaping the news industry as it navigates through turbulent times, looks to the future and asks big questions.
Kicking off on 24 August, Storyology: After Dark will lift the curtain on how great journalism is made, creating a magazine live on stage. Edited by David Leser, it will feature stories from writer Trent Dalton, actor William McInnes, investigative reporter Caro Meldrum-Hanna and radio journalist Tonya Mosley.
On 25 August, Storyology: for Journalists offers a full-day conference for journalist and communicators, featuring unmissable speakers such as Afghanistan-based photojournalist Andrew Quilty; investigative reporter Aaron Glantz; Google News Lab’s APAC Lead Irene Jay Liu and many more.
There’s something for everyone at Storyology Saturday on 26 August. Come to discussions about foreign correspondents, Brisbane’s creative scene, Queensland’s history of crime, #fakenews, the Trump effect and others.
Tickets are on sale now. The full program can be found on the Brisbane Powerhouse website.
